Japanese ART Museum in Los Angeles
Hey, guys !
I visited Los Angeles County Museum of Art this weekend, spending most of the time
in Japanese Art Museum. Basically, this museum was built based upon Japanese architecture.
Most of the Japanese paintings were created starting from approximately 3000 B.C. through the 20th century. Frankly, for a person who is not interested in Japanese Art, it might seem confusing. But, when you enter, the paintings start from modern style progressing to old sophisticated ones.
Since japanese art is very unique, I spent at least 5 minutes staring at each painting trying to understand and guess its meaning. Regardless, the most interesting part is when you enter empty room, and it is absolutely empty without any stuff inside, just a cubic room with white painted walls. That's it !!!
I wonder what they meant by that...

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (Apology)
Hey Guys, I decided to write a topic about british actor(comedian) Sacha Baron Cohen's movie.
As most of you know, it is a documentary comedy film starring the British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen in the role of a fictitious Kazakh journalist travelling through the United States and recording real-life interactions with Americans. So Basically, according to his plot, Kazakhstan sends him to US for cultural learnings of America for benefit of Kazakhstan. For those of you who did not watch this movie i recommend to click the link on the right.
Frankly, I think he should apologize for his actions in front of the whole nation. He was just making fun of my country. First, people playing in his movie do not even look like Kazakhs, second his accent sounds like old Russian accent, not kazakh. Third, Kazakhstan is a completely different country, He Didn't even visit my land. When his friend "Azamat Bogatov" came to USC for conference, one of my friends asked him "Why they chose Kazakhstan", and he just said that it was a random choice. Plus, there is no name like "BORAT" in kazakh language :)
On the other hand, I support him, because that guy is smart. He became very popular now hanging out with celebrities, spending thousands of euros, because he filmed a movie about the country that is really unknown to US. It is a very unique idea. Additionally, our government was trying to sue him, but no action was taken, because when he makes fun of our president he replaces his name by another one and leaves his last name as it is. It is like saying "Michael Bush".
Surprisingly, our tourism has grown up dramatically in recent years. I saw many americans in Kazakhstan this summer, and I couldn't find a ticket to come back here for fall semester because every ticket was sold out. :)
I have attached his movie trailer and a real representation about Kazakhstan. Hope you enjoy it !
Chenqui :)

Goldhagen's ARTICLE
According to Daniel Goldhagen's article, the role of church before WWII in the Holocaust was controversal.
Germany before WWII was undergoing genocidal state.
The persecution and genocide were accomplished by "removing the Jews from civil society".
This main idea was planned by Nazi under Adolf Hitler and whatever they planned to execute was
"RIGHT A SOLUTION" as they thought.
The same principle was used by Venedict pope, who though that everyone including religious community
must support his opinion.
This was an analogy between Germany state before WWII and pope's way of thinking.

Main
Hey Guys !!!
I decided to pick one the modern products of technology that is widely being used.
This blog discusses one the IBM Laptop products, which is IBM Thinkpad z60t.
IBM Thinkpad came up with really innovative product which differs from earlier ones drastically.
One of the main reasons choosing it was durability of this laptop.
DURABILITY:
The Lid is Covered With Titanium Cover which offers some nice extra rigidity and protection to the lid, there's no way to push in on the lid and cause ripples on the screen. Im not sure if its bullet-proof though :)
I have been using it for couple of years and accidentally dropped it to the floor, and surprisingly
its still in working condition.
DESIGN:
IBM up until now were really successful in designing stylish products. And this product has a very solid and cute look. Its 14-inch wide-aspect screen works well for watching movies and working with two documents side by side. Keyboard keys are really soft to type in comfortably.
SECURITY:
It comes with security software that includes fingerprint reader, so you don't have to actually type in your password.
DISADVANTAGES:
It weights little heavy because of titanium cover and battery life is pretty short.
A Brief VIDEO Review of This Product can be found here:
